The Ngong Ping 360° was built by Leitner in 2006. Travelling at a speed of seven metres per second, the cable car covers a total distance of 5,784 metres in 20 minutes. The ropeway links the suburb of Tung Chung near Hong Kong’s international airport to the world famous tourist area in Ngong Ping. The top station is close to the location of one of the largest Buddha statues of its type in Asia. The statue weighs 250 tonnes and is 34 m tall.
